What is Guard Street?
Guard Street offers packages of tools that protect your data and privacy. We take the guesswork out of figuring out how to get the best protection. We carefully developed packages with a set of tools that form a great personal data locking system. This includes encrypting your data and storing it on Swiss servers, providing secure email, secure internet navigation and much more. Guard Street is carefully designed to provide online protection when you’re navigating, social networking, communicating, storing data, shopping, banking and traveling. All in one place, using any device. The packages offer multiple protection tools at significant savings.

How can I purchase Guard Street?

What if I change my email address?
If you change your email address you can update it by logging in at www.GuardStreet.com and selecting the My Account link in the upper right corner. When you change your email address, it will automatically become your new User ID and the primary email address for alerts.

When I sign up for a package, can I still use the same browsers I currently do?

Will I have to change my everyday online activity or social media accounts to be protected?
After you’ve activated your Secure Web Tool, you simply need to turn it on when you use the internet from any device including your desktop, laptop or mobile device. You could also set the tool to turn on when you are in an unsecure WiFi area automatically.
Does Guard Street log user internet activity?
Although we do not log user internet activity on an individual basis (unless we are required to do so under our Privacy Policy), we reserve the right to collect non-personally identifying usage data across our user basis for analytics and network health. We believe people have the right to enjoy privacy and as much anonymity as they wish, subject to applicable law and any policies that GuardStreet may implement from time to time.
What happens if I forget my password?
We'll help you remember it. Just click on the 'forgot password' link on the top right corner of the page. You will be taken to a page with the security question you picked out when you first activated or joined Guard Street. Type in the correct answer and create a new password and confirm it. Once you click the save button you will be taken to your Privacy Portal.
Can I opt out of renewing my package?
Yes, you can go to your Privacy Portal and click on My Account and make that update to your profile.
Will Guard Street store all my passwords for me?
When you activate the Password Manager tool in your Privacy Portal, you are able to store your passwords in that tool. Also, when you activate your secure Swiss storage, you can store your passwords in that tool. All of your passwords can be stored in either or both tools.
What personal information will you collect on me?
When you purchase one of our packages, we collect your email address, payment information and if you would like to receive a fulfillment kit that confirms what is included in your package, you may provide us this information (however, you are not obligated to provide your address). Will I be restricted from visiting certain websites that are deemed unsafe?
Guard Street does not restrict you from visiting any website. We provide you with tools designed to help protect you should you visit a site or receive an email that may be unsafe. Our suggestion is that if you are aware that a site is considered unsafe, please don’t visit it and use caution. We also suggest using your secure email account at all times. While there is no such thing as 100% protection, this provides you with a strong level of defense.
Now that I have Guard Street, can I visit any unsafe site and open any email and be 100% protected?
In short, no. You should always be cautious about navigating on sites you are not familiar with or that may be considered unsafe. That also goes for opening emails (the most common source of getting computer viruses) from senders you aren’t familiar with. There is no such thing as 100% protection. Guard Street offers a great and tested set of tools to help protect you, but you will still need to use caution and good judgment in your web activity and maintenance of your digital devices.
I have a free VPN, do I need one from Guard Street?
Yes. Free usually equates to seeing advertising, tracking your activity or really low bandwidth.
What happens if I accidentally delete one of my downloads?
No problem, you can reinstall it on the same machine using the same license.
I already have a password manager, do I need Guard Street?
Yes. A password manager is not enough to maximize your protection. You need the other tools included in Guard Street and we have a plan to complement what you do have. If you’re happy with your password manager, it’s ok to keep it. Although, we encourage you to try the one we offer as it’s the top rated.
How can I change my privacy package?
It’s very easy. If you’d like to buy more protection, simply log into your Privacy Portal, click on the protection you’d like to add. If you’d like to downgrade your protection, simply log into your Privacy Portal, go to My Account and click on the tool you would like to downgrade. You can also call us at 1-800-517-4550 or contact us through the Support section of the website.
Is there a minimum contract?
It depends on the program you selected and the billing frequency. If you signed up for a monthly plan, then your contract is month to month. If you signed up for an annual plan, then your contract is year to year. To avoid a lapse in your protection, all of our packages are set up to renew automatically. I forgot my user name and Password. How do I retrieve my user name and password?
Go to Guard Street.com and click on Forgot your Password in the Login box. You will then be taken to the Password Retrieval page.
Once there, select "Look up Password" and click "Next".
Enter the email address you used when creating your profile and click "Next".
Provide the requested answer to the security question you set up upon activation and click "Next".
You will be shown your email with a temporary password will be sent to the email address we have on file. Please check your inbox for this email and use it to log in to the Guard Street website.
You will then be asked to create a new, permanent password.
Once you have done this, you may log in with your new password.
How do I change my profile information including my name, address, email address and password?
You can easily change your information by logging in at Guardstreet.com and click on My Account in up right corner.
Can I change my billing information to a different credit card?
Yes, you can change your billing information. Simply go to the Member Profile and then go to the Billing Information section. From there you can update the information as needed and click the "Save" button. Your billing information will be updated. You must enter valid credit card information in order to update the billing.
How do I cancel my membership?
To cancel your Membership, call customer service toll free at 1-800-517-4550, Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm CST, send us an email through our Support tab or go to your Privacy Portal and you can cancel at My Account. How do I upgrade my privacy package?
It’s easy, just click the “Upgrade Tab” in your Privacy Portal and select the package you’re interested in. You may upgrade at any time, whether by adding individual services, products or mini-packages that we offer, or by subscribing to a higher level Service program (i.e., upgrading from Pro to Premium
How will I be billed when I upgrade?
In the event you choose to add an individual service, product or mini-package, then that service shall run under its own contract term. If, however, you shall choose to upgrade your full Service program, then your annual commitment shall begin anew from your enrollment date within the higher-level program. If you are currently paying with a monthly plan, your upgraded plan will be billed at the new rate the following month.
How do downgrade my privacy package?
That’s easy. Simply go to the “Support” tab and request your downgrade or call us at 800-517-4550. The downgrade will be effective at the beginning of the next contract year or month depending on your plan. We could also accommodate a mid-year downgrade for annual plans.
How will I be billed when I downgrade?
For pre-paid annual plans, in the case of a mid-year downgrade that has been approved by Guard Street, you will receive a credit for the difference in fees between the Services for the remainder of your plan, which may only be applied to future Services / enrollment fees. If you have a monthly plan, the following month will begin your new rate.
Will my computer slow down when I install the software available on Guard Street?
As with any software, when it does its job to protect your privacy, it may slow down to warn you of threats, allow you to enter passwords, navigate the internet anonymously or finish running its erasure.
What Protection Tools Are Included In Your Program?
Your membership includes the following protection tools.
· Secure Data Vault to store important documents like medical records, financial records, travel itineraries, passports or anything you want protected.
· Secure Email Account that allows you to send email securely without worrying about others accessing the content or files included in your emails.
· Secure Web Tool that allows you to protect your data like your credit card number, account numbers passwords and more as you are online at or away.
· Password Manager makes it easier to use a strong and unique password for every website.
How Do I Access My Protection Tools?
It’s quite easy. Simply log into your program and go to your Peace Of Mind benefits. From there, you can access your Guard Street protection tools. Simple instructions are also provided for downloading or using your protection tools from your computers or mobile devices.

How Can The Digital Vault Protect My Family?
Your personal Guard Street Data Vault provides you a place to securely store, share and access all of your important documents, photos, emails and passwords. It provides you the same safety, security and privacy as a Swiss bank account. All the information stored in your Guard Street Data Vault is on servers located in Switzerland. It is protected using military grade encryption, under the same privacy laws that govern the Swiss banking industry. Many of the largest banks in Switzerland store their data in the same data center that houses your Guard Street Data Vault. The following are some of the typical documents you could store for your family and access at home or while you travel.

Using your Guard Street secure email account lets you rest assured that all of your stored email is secure. A Guard Street email account ensures your information is always safe from hackers and identity thieves. Your email is protected using military grade encryption, under the same privacy laws that govern the Swiss banking industry. Many of the largest banks in Switzerland store their data in the same data center that houses your Guard Street Data Vault. Your emails are scanned for viruses and you can even require a passcode for another party to open your email. You can access your email from your computer or any smart phone.
What Protection Will The Secure Web Tool Provide?
Use Public Wi-Fi Hotspots Securely
Though convenient, public Wi-Fi networks are often unsecured, creating a breeding ground for eavesdroppers and criminals. Whether you post to Facebook or shop online, Guard Street’s Secure Web Tool allows you to safely connect on Wi-Fi hotspots.
Avoid Data Theft Protection
Your online activities reveal intimate details about yourself including: banking and credit card information, medical history, passwords, and private communication. Guard Street’s encrypted private network helps to prevent data and identity theft before it happens.
